I provide professional supervision for practioners who operate in a clinical role with people. This may include counsellors, social workers, youth workers, community workers, pastors and clergy.
With a career spanning over 15 years, I have had a wide range of experience. In New Zealand, I have worked in schools, in Mental Health residential and respite services and in small community based NGOs. Overseas, I have worked for a large church based organisation. I now work in private practise.
Prior to going out into private practice, I was faciliating case management and regularly presenting team training for other clinicians. I also supervised the work of other staff.
Each workplace has reminded me of the importance of good clinical supervision for dealing with both client and organisational issues. I enjoy my own supervision and see it as an integral part of my work, enabling me to be both supported in my work and be kept accountable.
