What To Expect?
What to expect from counselling?
In counselling, you can expect to be listened to, treated with respect and receive quality professional care. We will talk about what is important to you and what is getting in the way of where you would like to be. I operate under the code of ethics of the NZAC, which includes guidelines for confidentiality and clinical supervision.
A counselling session is generally 50 minutes long. The number of counselling sessions depends on several factors. In the past, I have seen clients for 2 – 4 sessions through to longer term work over a number of months. When we are working together, I will regularly invite you to evaluate how counselling is going. Your feedback is really important and you are under no obligation to keep coming to counselling.
I have an affordable fee structure. For those on low incomes or a benefit, we can often access funding through WINZ. I am ACC accredited for working with sensitive claims.
I am so sorry but am fully booked for the next few months (with the exception of new supervision clients).
